Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, along with a Northern Youth called Sarki on X, have criticized Peter Obi of the Labour Party for being absent at late president Muhammadu Buhari’s burial in Daura, Katsina State, on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Omokri and Sarki expressed their sentiments in individual statements on X.
This occurs as former president Buhari received a statewide burial on Tuesday, attended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, former vice presidents Atiku Abubakar and Yemi Osinbajo, along with other high-ranking officials. Obi Peter was noticeably missing at Buhari’s funeral on Tuesday.
In response, Reno Omokri criticized Obi for not being present.
He argues that Obi’s lack of presence at the late Buhari’s funeral reflected his attitude towards the region.
He additionally charged Peter Obi with being a deceiver.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remained in Daura throughout, demonstrating his loyalty to General Muhammadu Buhari and his dedication to the North.” Arewa, recall those who were absent!
“On the 19th of October, 2024, at General Gowon’s 90th birthday, Peter Obi referred to him as ‘an adversary’ to be pardoned.” His precise wording. Today, as General Buhari, who succeeded Ahmadu Bello, was being laid to rest, Peter Obi was absent.
“Last week, he stated that Nnamdi Kanu’s trial ‘lacks logic.’” Once more, these are his precise words. This is the same Nnamdi Kanu who makes the most despicable remarks about Arewa and falsely claimed that General Buhari passed away in 2017 and was substituted by a clone from Sudan called Jubril.
“Arewa, isn’t the message obvious?”
