In a powerful and unconventional sign-out message that has sent ripples across social media, Blessing Alims, the outgoing Students’ Union Government (SUG) President of the University of Calabar (UNICAL), revealed her arduous journey to obtaining a university degree.
During her recent sign-out celebration, Alims donned a crested white shirt boldly emblazoned with “4 WAEC, 4 JAMB,” a stark revelation that she sat for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) examination four times and the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination four times before gaining admission.

Further sharing her inspiring story on social media, she wrote, “Are you thinking of giving up? God isn’t done with you yet, keep trying and Let my story inspire you.”
Alims, who successfully bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, attributed her success to divine grace.
