The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has charged graduands of Mountain Top University to dream big, embrace hard work, and cultivate creativity as they step into the next phase of their lives.
Governor Eno gave the charge while delivering a goodwill message at the university’s recent convocation ceremony, where students were formally awarded degrees for the successful completion of their academic programmes.
According to the governor, academic excellence alone is no longer sufficient in today’s fast-changing world. He emphasized that success now requires a combination of vision, diligence, innovation, and strong character.
“You must be bold enough to dream beyond your present circumstances, disciplined enough to work hard for your goals, and creative enough to stand out in a competitive world,” the governor advised.
He further encouraged the graduands to see their education not just as a means to secure jobs, but as a tool to create solutions, add value to society, and contribute meaningfully to national development.
Governor Eno also commended the management of Mountain Top University for their commitment to academic excellence, moral discipline, and the holistic development of students. He urged parents and guardians to continue supporting education as a key driver of societal progress.
The convocation ceremony was attended by top government officials, university administrators, academic staff, parents, and well-wishers, and featured the award of degrees, prizes, and honorary recognitions.
