A Nigerian man has celebrated becoming a Canadian citizen, sharing how a traumatic kidnapping experience in Owerri, Imo State, reshaped his life’s trajectory.
The man, whose name was not disclosed, stated that he was abducted in 2021, just weeks before he was scheduled to leave Nigeria. He described the incident as a deeply depressing and confusing experience. He shared that his subsequent move to Canada gave him a new lease on life, transforming his outlook and circumstances.
“Moving to Canada gave me a new opportunity and transformed my life,” he wrote, adding that he is now “10 times better” than he was before.
