No fewer than four persons were confirmed d3ad and many others injured in Ido-Ayegunle community, Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, following an attack by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.
The gunmen stormed the town on Thursday evening, June 19, 2025, with guns, broken bottles, cutlasses, knives, and other dangerous weapons.
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, Zachariah Abiodun, who confirmed the incident in Osogbo, said that relative calm had been restored in the area.
According to him, the state Commissioner of Police visited the scene for an on-the-spot assessment and to ensure that peace and order are maintained.
