The federal government has declared Tuesday, 15th July 2025 as a public holiday in honour of the passing of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.
Consequently, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Akwa Ibom State, Professor Ubong Essien Umoh, has directed an adjustment to the timetable for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for JSS3 students.
The two papers (Mathematics and Ibibio) scheduled for tomorrow, 15th July, 2025, have been postponed to Monday, 21st July 2025. Other papers will be written as previously scheduled upon the resumption of school activities on Wednesday, 16th July 2025.
All Principals of Public and Private Secondary Schools are expected to note and comply accordingly.
